As you now know, Noise Pollution is a big threat to the society and our health; so how can we prevent effects caused by it? Some commentators say that after living near an airport for a while, you get used to the noise caused by planes, but this doesn't stop their ears from receiving damage. High noise levels at the runways of airports is strongly affecting the workers there; thus, making less noisy plane engines one of the plane-engine-companies' prime focus.
Those that are educated in the effects of noise pollution are making next to no sort of attempt to prevent it when there are many ways to help the community in this aspect of life. Some of the things that a few people can do to help include: environmental noise regulations and restrictions, ear-protection enforcements, planning city housing, transportation systems regulations, banning radios in buses, inventing (or even if you have any, using) anti-noise electronics and/or devices, creating materials that isolate and/or absorb noise. Some of these things are specifically targeted towards the government because they are the ones that can make the most effective difference in our noisy lives.
Some may wonder how we can afford some of these things but you can start now. Writing and sending detailed advice to any important people (or friends) that you know. People will only help if they understand your point of view; which is why everyone should be educated in the surprisingly harsh effects of noise pollution. Doing more work doesn't stop you from helping, does it?
